Answer is...

Whelp, nobody guessed the correct answer to last Mondays Movie Monday...

the answer was THE PRINCESS BRIDE!

I have no posts for this week and no new jewelry because I am stuck in Florida. There's a blizzard in Boston and I have been on hold for HOURS with JetBlue about getting a new flight. Hopefully by this time tomorrow I will be in an airplane heading home to Ari and Denny. I hope everyone had a good Holiday!

Christmas Blues

This year for Christmas I'm going home to visit family and I'm really stressed out about it. Family can be incredibly exhausting and I'm not exactly looking forward to the scene at the airport flying home the day after Christmas either. Mostly I think I'm a little upset I never got a tree or decorations or anything for the first year in our little apartment. A few bloggers I love and follow have posted pictures of their holiday festivities and it's getting be excited to do the holidays right. I've decided that next year I am going to stay in Boston and have a Christmas celebration at our place.

Edible Crafts

After having a bunch of leftover kale from making udon soup, I decided to use the rest to make baked kale chips! yum!

Kale chips are super simple to make and the perfect solution to leftover greens. First preheat your oven to 300 degrees Fahrenheit.

After washing your kale, simply trim the leaves away from the thick stem and chop into medium size pieces.

Drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle with salt and then lightly mix to make sure all your leaves are coated.

Spread across a cookie sheet and place in the oven for 20 minutes.

Then voila! A light, crisp, healthier alternative to potato chips. I ate them by themselves as a snack, but they would be a great side to soup or sandwiches as well.

P.S. don't forget to guess this week's movie giveaway!

Boston Exploration- Burry Camera Episode

Apparently I don't have quite the steady hand this week as all of my photos of Boston with Rachael are blurry as hell. But hey, getting to know Boston is exciting blurry or not.
if you can't see what this is supposed to be, it's a grocery store where the aisles are divided by Asian countries. oh yes.

Little Kid Fun

Rachael came to visit me for part of her holiday break and she told she had never done Shrinky Dinks! It was one of my favorite crafting activities as a kid so I bought them so we could do them that night.

Not the exactly making the most of our artistic talents, but a fun coloring activity nonetheless.
